Abstract

In the current era of globalization, intervention liberalization has triggered the rapid growth of modern markets such as minimarkets, thus creating increasingly competitive competition against traditional markets. In addition, the existence of modern markets can trigger conflicts between traditional markets and modern markets. Therefore this research was carried out with the aim to find out the conditions of traditional markets and modern markets and to find out solutions to realize the harmonization of the existence of traditional markets with modern markets in Salatiga City. The research used was descriptive using an empirical juridical approach. Data obtained through research on the conditions of traditional markets and modern markets and solutions in realizing the harmonization of the existence of traditional markets with modern markets in Salatiga with methods of collecting data through document and field studies. The technical analysis of this research data is qualitative data analysis. The results showed that there were conflicts between traditional markets and modern markets which led to disharmony conditions, namely conflicts due to the number of modern shops with unbalanced markets, conflicts caused by the distance between traditional markets and modern stores that were too close, conflicts due to commodity prices the market, the conflict of modern market independence seen from the aspect of licensing, the conflict of modern market independence is seen from the difference in very far infrastructure. In addition, there are solutions in creating harmonious conditions between traditional markets and modern markets which include 3 aspects, namely, legal protection, through aspects of implementing regulations, through aspects of legal culture.
