Abstract

Today's rapid development makes it easy for humans to do whatever they want to achieve a goal, even though in a way that deviates from the existing rules. A rule is created to protect legally by an authorized institution to create legal certainty regarding Intellectual Property Law, especially brand rights to logos, where in the current global era it is very easy to replicate the creation of other people's logos for personal gain. Brand legal protection is regulated in Law Number 20 of 2016 concerning Trademarks and Geographical Indications, Whereas it is no longer a secret if the logo is a very valuable component for the continuity of the development of the business established. Brands become something that can increase the selling value of a product, therefore legal certainty is required for brands, especially logos. This study aims to analyze and describe the legal protection of brand rights to logos.
