Abstract

Abstract Quality of life is subjective feelings experienced by individuals. Factors that affect quality of life include: age, education, marital status, family and financial. Elderly people tend to experience limitations in carrying out activities, the condition of the elderly in nursing homes is different. The aim is to find out how the quality of life of elderly in nursing homes. Bhakti Pajang Surakarta. Samples from this study were 43 people, the sampling technique was purposive sampling. WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire was a valid measuring instrument (r = 0.89 -0.95) and reliable (R = 0.66-0 , 87) Analysis of data using univariate analysis, results of research based on univariate analysis: female gender. age 60-74 years, last education did not finish elementary school, other category work (massage, tailor, pedicab driver, and never visited physical domain family 86% moderate, psychological domain 76.7% moderate, social relations domain 74, 4% moderate, and environmental domain 55.8% less Quality of life in general 54.6% moderate Conclusion: In the analysis it was concluded that the quality of life of the elderly was based on the physical domain, psychological domain, and social relations domain in the moderate category, while the environmental domain live in a less category, the quality of life of the elderly is generally in a good category Keywords: Quality of life, elderly, nursing homes.
