Abstract
The teacher is a big influence on students, especially in developing their abilities in both academic and non-academic fields. The teacher in charge is not only increasing the achievement of the students but also as forming the habits of students in the school environment. Because in the learning process, the expected abilities can also be possessed and mastered by students both in intellectual abilities (cognitive), attitudes (affective), and the ability to act (psychomotor). Therefore to develop the ability of these students the teacher must have learning strategies that can be poured in the learning process. In this study, it will explain the strategies of Islamic Religion teachers and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) in improving the learning achievement of class VIII A students at Muhammadiyah 4 Middle School in Mojogedang. Departing from these problems, the formulation of the problems taken in this study are: 1) What is the strategy of the AIK teacher in an effort to improve student achievement at Muhammadiyah 4 Mojogedang Middle School, especially class VIII A? 2) What factors can encourage an increase in class VIII A student achievement in AIK lessons at Mojogedang Muhammadiyah 4 Middle School? The type of research used in this study is field research. Data collection methods used were interviews, observation, and documentation. The analytical method used is data collection, combining data, processing data and conclusions. From this study it can be concluded that in improving student achievement the teacher must implement strategies that can be accepted by students, the strategies possessed by AIK teachers at Muhammadiyah 4 Mojogedang Middle School include: Teacher strategies in learning planning, teacher strategies in implementing teacher learning and strategy in learning evaluation. Of the three strategies, the teacher strives to achieve the learning objectives, namely increasing student learning achievement. The teacher's efforts were proven through the learning outcomes of students in Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan subjects which increased from semester 1 to semester 2. Besides through these strategies the teacher also encouraged students through several factors such as psychological factors where students already had prior talent and the teacher was in charge of developing talent so that it is not easily affected by the outside school environment that can drop student achievement.
