Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the variables of minimum wages, economic growth, TPAK (Labor Force Participation Rate), and AMH (Literacy Rate) on open unemployment in East Java Province for 5 years (2011-2015). With the analysis technique used is panel data multiple regression analysis. The results of this study explain that simultaneously the minimum wage variable, economic growth, TPAK (Labor Force Participation Rate), and AMH (Literacy Rate) significantly influence open unemployment in East Java Province. While partially the minimum wage and TPAK variables have a significant and negative effect on unemployment. While the variables of economic growth and AMH have a not significant and positive effect on open unemployment in East Java Province.
