Abstract

The place of worship is one of the most important things in each region, which is built on the human need to carry out obligations to God Almighty. One of the places of worship is the mosque which is a place of worship for Muslims. In addition, mosques can also be used by Muslims as a center for discussion of Muslim communities, religious studies, studying the Qur'an, and can even function as a role in community activities. Purwodadi is one of the sub-districts in Grobogan Regency which is used as a city center with a population that is predominantly Muslim. One of the developments of mosque buildings in Purwodadi City for now, the Jabalul Khoir Mosque, which is in Simpang Lima, has even become one of the icons for Purwodadi District. However, the potentials that exist in the Jabalul Khoir Mosque have not been able to be utilized optimally such as the limited supporting facilities resulting in the lack of community activities that can be accommodated. For the mosque area itself there are also natural resources that are used to organize the area or can also be called ecological aspects. Therefore, the existence of the Jabalul Khoir Mosque needs to be planned and redesigned to be used as one of the new icons of Purwodadi City which is not only in facade aspect, it can even benefit the surrounding environment.
