Abstract

This study aims to determine the management of biology laboratories in Ngemplak Boyolali 1 High School in Academic Year 2018/2019. The data taken in this study were laboratory management groups, groups managed by laboratories, laboratory administration, and laboratory inventories. The subject of this research was a biology laboratory in Ngemplak 1 Boyolali 1 Public High School. Data is collected through observation sheets, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using percentage descriptive techniques. The results of the analysis show that the laboratory management group is in the good category with a percentage of 75%, the laboratory-managed group in the excellent category with a percentage of 83.3%, laboratory administration in the good category with a percentage of 75%, and laboratory inventory in good categories with a percentage of 66 , 6%. From the overall results of the analysis shows that the management of laboratories in SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Boyolali is in good category with an average number of 74.9%. Constraints experienced in the management of biological laboratories are scheduling laboratory use that is less than optimal due to several factors, namely the function of the laboratory as a classroom.
