Abstract
Abstract Kluwih seeds are a part of plants that are less used. Though kluwih seeds contain many nutrients including carbohydrates, proteins, fats and minerals. The carbohydrate content in kluwih seeds reaches 58.798%, this carbohydrate content includes fiber in it. This study aims to determine the growth of F0 mycelium seedlings of white oyster mushrooms and straw mushrooms in alternative media of kluwih seed extract. The method used in this study was an experimental research method using a factorial Randomized Complete Design (RAL) design and consisted of 2 factors: 1 type of fungus (white oyster mushroom / J1 and mushroom / J2) and factor 2 difference in concentration (extract kluwih seeds 10%, 15%, and 20%). Observations on day 3 and day 7. Based on the results of the study that, in white oyster mushroom media extract of 15% kluwih seed extract (J1K2) had a diameter of 3.7 cm mycelium with density and growth of mycelium at the latest until 7 in white oyster mushrooms with a concentration of kluwih seed extract 20% in diameter of 0.1 cm mycelium with a density of less dense mycelium in the petri dish. So it can be concluded that kluwih seeds can be used as a growth medium for F0 white oyster mushrooms and straw mushrooms, the best growth in kluwih seed extract media with a concentration of 15% in white oyster mushrooms.
