Abstract

This thesis discusses the renting system from Islamic law perspective which included in the law of engagement because there are at least two parties involved into an agreement, namely the tenant (musta'jir) and the party that rents (mu'ajir). The purpose of this study was to know how the land rent practice in Kedawung Village, Banyuputih Sub-District, Batang Regency, and how Islamic law perspectives on this issue. This type of research is qualitative. The data used in the study are primary data with direct interviews with farmers and village officials. While secondary data based on demographic data of Kedawung Village. The research method combined observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that bengkok land rent practice in Kedawung Village following Islamic Law and not violate Islamic Law. Keyword : Ijarah, lease, Islamic Law
