Abstract
The increase of plasma blood glucose in diabetic foot ulcer can be influence their quality of life which is a decrease in their body condition that can be affect into many aspects of their life. To improve their quality of life can be influenced by good management of diabetes. This study aims to determine correlation between glycemic status and quality of life in diabetic foot ulcers at RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. This study type is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were 50 respondents who taken by accidental sampling. The instrument in this study used diabetes quality of life questionnaire and medical record data at RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta includes 27 questions that have been modified by the researcher. The data processing technique used was chi square test. The results of this study indicate that there is correlation between glycemic status with diabetic foot ulcer quality of life based on this study. Patient who have normal blood glucose and good quality of life more greater than patient who have bad quality of life while patient who have high blood glucose but they have bad quality of life more greater than patient who have good quality of life and also patient who have low blood glucose but their quality of life are good more greater than patient who have bad quality of life. The conclusion in this study is to improve the quality of life in diabetic foot ulcers can be done with good glycemic control.
