Abstract
Coconut fiber has a high content of lignin and cellulose as a media for growing white oyster mushroom F2 seeds. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of molasses and liquid water on the growth of F2 white oyster mushroom mycelium (Pleorotus ostreatus) on coconut fiber media. The type of this research is use an experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a factorial pattern consisting of two factors and carried out with 3 repetitions. The first factor were volume of molasses: 0 ml (M0), 25 ml (M2) and 50 ml (M2). Second factor were volume of liquid water: 0 ml (M0), 25 ml (M2) and 50 ml (M2).The parameters that are measured in the growth of seedlings of white oyster mushroom F2 include the thickness, spread and length of the F2 seedlings of white oyster mushrooms. The technique of analysis data is use descriptive quantitative. The results that obtained on the growth of the longest oyster mushroom F2 seedling length in the M1L2 treatment were 8.3 cm. While the results of the growth of F2 seedlings late in the white oyster mushroom treated M0L0 is 0.1 cm, the density of thick mycelium, and the spread of evenly distributed.
