Abstract
This study aims to describe the forms of expressive speech acts and speech act strategies in the National song lyrics. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. The object in this research is in the form and expressive speech action strategy in the National song lyrics. The source of data in this study is the National Song Lyrics. Data collection in this study uses the method of note and note, namely by listening to the National song lyrics from the temple to the temple and then recording the utterances containing expressive speech acts. The results of this study describe the form of expressive speech acts and speech act strategies. The form of expressive speech acts in this study were expressive praise speech acts (52%), expressive pleasure speech acts and thanking each (12%), expressive speech acts congratulating (8%), and expressive speech acts expressing condolences (16%). The speech act strategy found in national song lyrics is only one, namely the direct speech action strategy. These findings are expected to influence the pool of speech acts used in other song lyrics.
