Abstract
ABSTRACT Changes in land use of salt ponds into shrimp farms both in changing economic conditions of shrimp farming actors, increasing income for shrimp farming actors compared with salt production. The purpose of this study was to determine the socio-economic conditions of the shrimp farming practitioners who were originally in the area of salt ponds. The location of the study was conducted in Tireman Village Rembang Subdistrict as a location directly affected. The method in this study uses descriptive based on the results of a survey based on census of farmers. The results obtained in the survey show that shrimp farming is of productive age, the economic conditions of shrimp farming actors can be seen from the initial capital issued and cultivated land area for shrimp, the more cultivated land area the shrimp harvest will be large and double the capital early. What if you experience a loss of initial capital will run out and get a little results. The land salt farmers, because production is only the dry season, and shrimp farming for three to four months can harvest the results of shrimp farming.
