Currently the need for electrical energy is increasing both for industrial and household needs, but until now there is still a lot of electrical energy generated with non-renewable resources (coal), which will be used up if it continues to be used. One solution to this problem is to utilize renewable resources such as water, air, wind and solar cells. This is also in accordance with the geographical conditions of Indonesia, one of the areas considered suitable as the construction of a power plant is the Gajah Mungkur Reservoir which was made by holding the Bengawan Solo river. The Bengawan Solo River has a large and promising water discharge for hydroelectric power generation, a maximum water reservoir height of 137 m and a maximum inundation area of 8800 hectares covering 7 sub-districts namely Wonogiri, Ngadirojo, Nguntoronadi, Baturetno, Giriwoyo, Eromoko and Wuryantoro sub-districts. In conducting a survey and research on Gajah Mungkur Reservoir about the analysis of electric power potential in the Gajah Mungkur reservoir hydroelectric power plant in Wonogiri district the authors used several methods of data retrieval. Headnett measurement is done directly from Google coordinates to look for elevation points and tail races and measurements of water discharge data obtained from credible sources, from this method obtained an average water discharge of 26.3 m3/s. Gajah Mungkur Hydroelectric Power has peak perfomance in January capable of generating electric power 332 MW and lowest ain Juni with 111 MW. Capable generating energy 37 Gwh in a year . The results of the calculation of NCF and CF values in determining th performance of the Gajah Mungkur Hydroelectric Power Plant obtained CF value of 23.18% for unit 1 with 3112 hour operating and 47.02% in unit 2 with 5248 hour operation, the NCF value was 35.1%. Referring to the 2007 DKP-IKP PLTA Gajah Mungkur is considered reliable in terms of the process and production of electricity. PLTA Gajah Mungkur also has revenues of 51,85 billion from the sale of electricity. Connection between water discharge, power, energy and income is greater water discharge more power, energy and revenue has obstaining.
