Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of gross domestic product (PDRB), Inflation, Population, local revenue (PAD), District Minimum Wage (UMK) on income inequality in Jawa Tengah. This type of research is a combination of time series and cross section. The type of data used is secondary data with panel data types. The sample in this study was 29 districts. Income inequality is measured using the Gini Index. The most appropriate model of diipilih in this research is the Random Effect Method (REM). Based on the test results of F, simultaneously the variable PDRB, Population, local revenue, Inflation, and District Minimum Wage variables influence income inequality in Jawa Tengah in 2013-2017. Determinant of the coefficients of test results (R2) shows that the R-square value is 0.047023 which means 4.7% variation in PDRB, Inflation, Population (JP), local revenue (PAD) and District Minimum Wage (UMK) variables can explain the inequality variable income. While the remaining 95.3% is explained by other variables outside the model (in addition to the variables PDRB, Inflation, JP, PAD and UMK). Based on a test of the validity of the influence (t - test) the variable that has a significant effect is the variable Population (JP) and the variable that is not significant is the variable local revenue (PAD), Inflation, gross domestic product (PDRB) and District Minimum Wage (UMK ) towards income inequality in Jawa Tengah in 2013-2017.
