Abstract

Self-acceptance that helps individuals to accept all their own needs is also embarrassing to accept the advantages and disadvantages that are in themselves also before others. This information is intended to determine the ability of acceptance given regarding disability due to disability. informants from this study were selected by purposive sampling with disability criteria related to accidents at BBRSPDF Prof. Dr. Soeharso Surakarta. The informants of this study were five people with physical disabilities due to an accident at BBRSPDF Prof. Dr. Soeharso Surakarta. The technique of collecting data used in this study is a semi-structured interview. The results of this study are the third subject, MT and IN, who have accepted yourself with physical requirements from the MT subject and IN as a person with a physical disability. EP subjects are still in the process of accepting confidence as EP subjects still needing to be inferior to their physical condition. Meanwhile, RH and MN subjects have not accepted themselves with the current physical condition because depending on the current RH and MN subjects still explore the physical conditions experienced. Factors that influence the subject of MT, RH, EP, IN and MN to accept yourself are the aspiration factors that are fought for, self-insight factors, social support, religiosity and the duration of being a physically disabled person.
