Abstract
Abstract All facilities and conveniences presented in modern times like today, require every human being to fulfill all of his economic needs. All these demands then encourage people to work, including women. Women who work certainly have been found. But what about women who work but also have to act as a housewife. This study aims to determine the description of family conflicts experienced by career women. This study uses a qualitative-phenomenological approach. The data collection technique in this study is using a semi-structured interview method conducted to research informants. The selection of research informants was done using the snowball sampling technique. The research informants consisted of 4 women with the criteria of a working woman or a kerier woman who was married and had children, and in his job had a high position. The technique used in the validity of the data uses the member check technique. The results of this study illustrate that the conflicts experienced by career women are in the dual role that must be carried out, namely as working women and as housewives. This then resulted in conflicts experienced by career women in their families. Conflicts arising from the careers of family women come from outside of career women, namely from families in the form of lack of support from husbands and children, while other conflicts originate from within their own career women due to the multiple role imbalances that must be lived. Keywords: conflict, career woman, double role
