Abstract
Stale tea water and rice washing water are household wastes containing many nutrients which are beneficial to fertilize the soil. This research to find out the quality of chemical contents and organoleptic of stale tea water and rice washing water with variation of molases addition. This research used 2-Factor Completely Randomized Design. Factor 1: molases: 0% (D0), 2,5% (D1), 5% (D2),7,5% (D3). Factor 2: type of liquid fertilizer substrate: stale tea water(P2),andrice washing water(P2). For the starter, each treatment was added EM 10%. Research result revealed that the highest checimal contents for liquid fertilizer from rice water on D3P2are N(0,15%), P(303,19ppm), K(2432,60ppm), C organik(2,38%) and ratio of C/N(15,83). The lowest chemical contents on D0P2are the content of N (0,08%), P (195,90ppm), K (666,10ppm), C organic(1,03%) and ratio of C/N (12,86). The highest chemical contents of liquid fertilizer from stale tea water on D3P1are N (0,13%), P (276,37ppm), K (2170,60ppm), C organik (2,11%) and ratio of C/N (16,20). The lowest chemical contents on D0P1are N (0,09%), P (169,08ppm), K (626,80ppm), C organic (1,04%) and ratio of C/N(11,59).Organoleptic quality shows that liquid fertilizer from stale tea water has dark brown colour, while the liquid fertilizer from rice washing water has deep brown colour. The quality of liquid fertilizer from rice washing water is better than that from stale tea water although it remains in low quality and has yet to meet the standard of Ministry Regulation Number 70/Permentan/SR.140/10/2011 concerning the Minimum Technical Requirement for Liquid Organic Fertilizer.
