Abstract
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is the most common disease in the upper extremities that affects about 3% of the adult population. Problems that often arise in CTS are the presence of pain and paresthesia in the distribution of the median nerve. One of the treatments for this CTS case is the tendon and nerve gliding exercise aimed at reducing the pain that is felt. To determine find out the difference in the effect of nerve gliding exercise without a tendon gliding exercise and nerve gliding exercise with the tendon gliding exercise against pain reduction in CTS. This research method uses quasi experiment with type two group pretest and posttest design. The results of the study based on the results of different influences test using the Mann Whitney test showed that the value of Z = -2.757 with a p-value of 0.006 <0.05 so that Ha was accepted. There is the effect nerve gliding exercise and tendon gliding exercise can reduce pain in patients CTS.
