Abstract

Textbooks have an important role in the learning process. Therefore textbooks used as a learning resource should really be considered as quality of content, which must comply with the Content Standards and the needs of students. Indonesian text book in particular the high school level, they found some shortcomings, and therefore the suitability analysis of the contents of text books with content standards and student needs to be done. This study aims to determine the suitability of Indonesian high school book / MAN / SMK / MAK Class XI Kemendikbud issue with the content standards and student needs. This research is a qualitative description. The analysis of these textbooks are: (1) Suitability content of textbooks with the Content Standards get a score of 72.29%, the value of including the appropriate category (2) Suitability content of textbooks to students needs get a score of 11.36% does not correspond to the needs students, 24.63% less in accordance with the needs of students, 26.47% is quite in accordance with the needs of students, 20.7% according to the needs of students, 17.22% is in accordance with the needs of students. Based on the analysis it can be concluded that the suitability of class XI Indonesian book Kemendikbud issue with the content standards including appropriate category, while the needs of students categorized quite appropriate.
