Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the current ratio (CR), debt to equity ratio (DER), and return on assets (ROA) on stock returns of mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The population in this study were mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The research samples were 36 mining companies which were obtained by sampling purposive technique. Data collection technique used were documentation. The method of data analysis is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that partially the CR and ROA variables have a positive effect and DER has a negative effect on stock returns. Simultaneously the variables CR, DER, and ROA have an effect on stock returns. The test results of the determination coefficient (adjusted R2) obtain value at 0.244, this indicates that the variables CR, DER, and ROA affect stock returns in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2017 amounted 24.4%.
