Abstract

Seeing the current phenomenon, the world of education in Indonesia is faced with various kinds of challenges and problems. Among the problems are various forms of juvenile delinquency. Various forms of juvenile delinquency range from mild misbehavior such as being late to school, not neat clothes, long hair and polished. Being oblivious to the teacher and parents, going out during class hours, fighting. Severe delinquency such as drunkenness due to liquor, stealing even porno-action and so on. In Islamic religious education, teachers have a role and responsibility for the development of students, with efforts to develop all the potential possessed by students, both in the form of affective, cognitive, and psychomotor potential. Islamic education teachers have a duty not only to deliver material, but how the material delivered can be practiced in daily life. So that students have an attitude of obedience, obedient to their religion without supervision from the teacher. This study has a purpose that is to describe the Role of Islamic Education Teachers in Overcoming Juvenile Delinquency in Muhammadiyah 01 Vocational High School Boyolali. With the aim to find out the forms of delinquency by the students, the role of PAI teachers in laying down juvenile delinquency of their students, and the supporting factors and obstacles experienced by PAI teachers in overcoming juvenile delinquency of their students. This study is a field research (field research) with data sources obtained from Muhammadiyah 01 Boyolali Vocational School, while the subjects of this study are PAI teachers and students. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation, analysis of data from this study using deductive analysis methods. This research shows that the Role of Islamic Education Teachers in Overcoming Juvenile Delinquency in Muhammadiyah 01 Boyolali Vocational School. The form of student delinquency varied from mild, moderate and severe delinquency. The role of PAI teachers is as a guide, motivator, role model, corrector, advice, demonstrator, class manager, mediator, evaluator has been done well and effective actions to overcome juvenile delinquency through punishment, giving punishment, special and Islamic coaching. And the inhibiting factors are differences in perceptions between teachers and parents of students, lack of awareness of students and not having a school mosque. The supporting factors are cooperation between good teachers and continuing consequences.
