Abstract

Complications in pregnancy and childbirth can not all births be prevented if adequate treatment is facilitated by health services as well as time factors and laboratory examinations are very important for early detection to prevent maternal death and illness. This study aims to determine the factors associated with complications of pregnancy and childbirth at Gatak Health Center in 2018. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research. The sample of this study was 100 respondents with purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the incidence of post partum complications in the health center in January to October 2018 obtained the highest data of normal labor as many as 86 respondents and as many as 15 complications of labor and complete laboratory examination if according to the Ministry of Health had reached the target of 88%, while additional laboratory tests at Gatak Health Center, only 45% of pregnant women were given a complete examination.
