Abstract

MIM Randualas applies counseling guidance to build the politeness of fourth grade so that the students of fourth grade of MIM Randualas have good politeness toward the teachers, their parents and others. The purposes of this research are: (1) counseling guidance that uses group method to build the politeness of grade 4 MIM Randualas Boyolali. (2) The obstacle and the solution of counseling guidence by using group method to build the politeness of grade 4 MIM Randualas Boyolali. The approach of the research is qualitative research with descriptive qualitative research design. The technique of collecting the data in this research, the researcher uses interview, observation, and documentation method. In analyzing the data, the researcher uses data reduction, data display, and making conclusion. The researcher reduces and presents the data in a brief description and then concludes it flexibly in order to answer the research questions. The data validity of this research uses technique of triangulation and source of triangulation. The result of this research shows that: (1) One of them is the use of group of counseling guidance, with this method, in the initial stage, the students will exchange the ideas and the opinions to solve each problem that they face, they will empathize with each other and conclude that solutions that must be applied. (2) The less of comfort and confidence of students in attending this counseling guidance, these obstacles are overcome by applying 3S (smile and greetings) method of storytelling, role playing and group atmosphere that eliminate the tension and make students become comfortable by taking that counseling guidance.
