Abstract
This thesis is the result of field research on “Analiysis of The Role of KSPPS in Empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Study in KSPPS BMT Mitra Mandiri in Wonogiri)”, with the aim of answering the problem statement namely how is the role of KSPPS BMT Mitra Mandiri Wonogiri in empowering UMKM? And what are the KSPPS inhibiting factors for BMT Mitra Mandiri Wonogiri in empowering UMKM?The research data was collected by interview method with KSPPS BMT Mitra Mandiri Wonogiri employees and KSPPS BMT Mitra Mandiri Wonogiri, which is a UMKM perpetrator and gets funding from KSPPS BMT Mitra Mandiri Wonogiri. Literature study, using books, journalis, and reports relating to these problems. Then the data is analyzed using qualitative methods based on the theory used to solve these problems.The results of the research conducted concluded that: First, KSPPS BMT Mitra Mandiri Wonogiri is afinancial institution that uses sharia principles in its application. KSPPS BMT Mitra Mandiri Wonogiri has a role to empower UMKM in Wonogiri by providing financing. Not only financing but also with savings and participating in managing the association of Wonogiri traveling traders. Second: KSPPS BMT Mitra Mandiri has been good at empowering micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM), but not maximally because KSPPS BMT Mitra Mandiri Wonogiri has not fulfilled the empowerment of UMKM in accordance with the forms of empowering UMKM. The inhibiting factor of BMT Mitra Mandiri Wonogiri in empowering UMKM is that human resources have not been maximized and the large number of banks in the Wonogiri area which can be a positive competition in empowering UMKM. In connection with the conclusions above, the advice that can be given is: First, KSPPS BMT Mitra Mandiri Wonogiri should also create industrial centers and utilized the surrounding materials to be used asincome by UMKM. Secondaly, members in the KSPPS BMT Mitra Mandiri Wonogiri specially UMKM players, should be multiplied by promoting other parties, so that KSPPS BMT Mitra Mandiri Wonogiri is more famous and UMKM are more helped by the presence of BMT and UMKM in Wonogiri are not too easily tempted by other banks even though they offer cheaper prices.
