Abstract

Al-Qur'an contains various aspects, including stories about previous people. It is understandable that not only legal verses can be problem solving in every problem. The stories in the Qur'an have the content of wisdom, values, and messages in each verse, to be a mercy, the deliver of the message as well as al-Huda (guidance) can be used as a reference in overcoming the problems of people and human life and having a major role in changing social order in a better direction. This research is to find out the wisdom behind the story of Prophet Musa and Khidir according to M. Quraish Shihab in the Interpretation of Al-Mishbah. This research is a library research (library research), is descriptive in nature to reveal the strands of wisdom contained in the Story of Prophet Musa and the Prophet Khidir in the surah al-Kahf verses 60-82 in the Tafsir Al-Mishbah M. Quraish Shihab. The wisdom contained in the Story of Musa and the Prophet Khidr in the Surah Al-Kahf verses 60-82 can be crystallized as follows :That education requires process which is not only in knowledge aspect, but it also provides attitude that formed in patience learning, so that the education is not only seen by its knowledge, yet it is also seen by its transendental values requirements.
