Abstract
The values of Islamic Education include the value of I'tiqodiyah, khuluqiyah value, worship value and mu'amalah value. Whereas mentally retarded students are children whose intelligence is below average, weak in memory and followed by inability or difficult to interact socially. The existence of the planting of the values of Islamic education, they will be accustomed to applying the values of Islamic education in daily life, and will affect the development of independence and social life. This study aims to find out what educational values are invested in mentally retarded students of class VIIIC SLB Idhati Magetan and how to instill the values of Islamic education to mentally retarded students. This study was included in a qualitative study using field studies at SLB Idhati Magetan. By using data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and domination of various main sources of research and the analysis used using the decoding method, the application is to depart from the theory written or built as a foundation of thinking then followed by a description of the results of research data and concluding with conclusions. Based on the results of research conducted by the researcher, the researcher can draw the conclusion that the values of Islamic education instilled in mentally retarded students include the value of I’tiqodiyah, Khuluqiyah, Amaliah which includes worship education and muamalah. And use methods, that is exemplary methods, habituation methods, punishment and rewards methods, lecture methods, question and answer metods and demonstration methods.
