Abstract

Previous research discussed the use of gadgets and their impact on middle school students. The use of gadgets in children needs parental assistance given the impact. The purpose of this study was to examine the psychological dynamics of using gadgets in elementary school children. This study uses a qualitative approach. This study through interviews with four informants. The study involved four 5th grade and 6th grade students along with parents and teachers. The process of collecting data through interviews with children who have certain criteria for the intensity of the use of gadgets. The collected data was then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques and the results showed that the average use of gadgets above 5 hours a day had an impact on the physical, red eyes, emotions of children very influential on daily behavior. Late school due to the use of gadgets until night, lack of concentration in class, neglected school assignments, delaying obligations and standardized values. There is no parental assistance when children use gadgets. Parents free time to use gadgets. There is no parent collaboration when teachers discipline the use of gadgets
