Abstract
This study was entitled "Analysis of Foreign Investment Using the Taylor Rule Approach in 1997-2017". This research is motivated by the condition of the relatively low contribution of foreign investment (PMA) to the level of economic growth in Indonesia. With the Taylor Rule approach, monetary policy analysis is carried out in order to determine the most appropriate policy choices in relation to increasing the role of FDI. Where the variables used are inflation as the dependent variable and exchange rate, interest rate, and GNP as independent variables. The data analysis method used in this study is Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Based on the results of data processing, it was found that interest rates, exchange rates, and GNP had a significant effect. Meanwhile, inflation does not have a significant effect.
