Abstract
Injection contraception is a contraceptive method that is a risk factor for increased blood pressure. This study aims to measure the effect of using single active injection injections (progesterone), and injection of combined active substance injections (progesterone and estrogen) on increasing blood pressure in contraceptive acceptors at the Kebonsari Primary Health Center in Madiun Regency in January-February 2018. This research includes analytic non experimental study. Contraceptive acceptor categories in this study include combination injection contraceptive acceptors, single injectable contraceptive, and non-hormonal IUD contraceptives with a sample of 73 contraceptive acceptors. Data was obtained from questionnaires and direct interviews with contraceptive acceptors. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using the Chi Square analysis method using SPSS aplication and prevalence ratio analysis method. The results of the calculation of Chi-Square produce a p-value of 0.023, which means that there is a relationship on the use of combined injection of contraceptive and single substances on the blood pressure of contraceptive acceptors. The results of the calculation of successive prevalence ratios yielded a value of 3.58 for combined injection contraceptive acceptors, and 5.11 for single injection contraceptive acceptors when compared to non-hormonal IUD.
