Abstract

Recreation and tourism is one of the places to increase regional income. The increasing number of recreation and tourist places often do not see the existing terrain characteristics, resulting in damage to recreational and tourist attractions. 2 This study aims to analyze the field suitability of recreation and tourism classes, analyze the distribution of terrain suitability for recreation and tourism places, and analyze the limiting factor of terrain suitability for recreation and tourist attractions in Ngargoyoso District. The method used in this study is a survey method and analysis using a description of the matching results of each parameter. Each parameter that has been surveyed and carried out by observations will produce a classification of matching results which are included in the good, medium, and bad suitability classes. The results of the research that have been carried out can be known that the field suitability class in the study area is included in the medium suitability class with an area of 1204.92 ha and a poor suitability class with an area of 4924.96 ha. The average and poor field suitability grade is found in each village in Ngargoyoso District, with the largest area of 175.47 ha for the medium class in Punturejo Village, and the largest area for the bad class in Berjo Village with an area of 1466.81 ha. The results of the most dominant limiting factors are Soil Depth, Drainage and Slope. Keywords: Land Suitability, recreation and tourism, district Ngargoyoso
