Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the class of land capabilities, analyze limiting factors, and analyze the distribution of land capabilities. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data consists of effective soil depth, soil drainage, soil texture, soil fertility, soil pH, permeability, erosion, flooding, boulders, gravel, groundwater and slope. Secondary data consists of rainfall, soil type maps, land use maps, and geological maps. The research method used is survey method of data analysis that is qualitative descriptive. The sampling method is stratified sampling based on the strata of the land unit. Methods of data collection in research are direct observation, laboratory tests, and secondary data collection. Data processing techniques use a land capability evaluation system according to Soepraptohardjo (1962). The results of the study referring to the study area have four classes of land capabilities, namely class III, IV, V, and VI with an area of 194.5 ha, 505.6 ha, 5017.5 ha, and 411.3 ha respectively. The limiting factor of class III and IV is the depth of the face of the ground water. Class V, namely slopes, boulders, gravel and groundwater. Class VI has slope limiting factors, erosion, boulders, gravel, and depth of groundwater. The distribution of class V covers all villages, class IV covers all villages except Nglegok Village, class VI includes Berjo Village, Kemuning Village, Ngargoyoso Village, and Segorogunung Village. And class III covers all villages except Jatirejo Village, Ngargoyoso Village, and Segorogunung Village. Keywords: Land Ability Class, evaluation of land resources, land use
