Abstract

Inflation is the tendency of prices to rise in general and continuously. Inflation is everywhere and is always a monetary phenomenon that reflects excessive and unstable monetary growth. This study aims to determine the effect of several conditions of monetary policy in Indonesia. Macroeconomic conditions include inflation, bi rate, exchange rate, and money supply (M1). The data used in this study are data obtained from BPS and Bank Indonesia in the form of secondary data. The analytical method used is the associative method and regression data analysis techniques with the Ordinary Least Square method. Based on data processing, it was found that Bi Rate had a significant influence on the inflation rate, while the exchange rate and the money supply (M1) did not affect the inflation rate in Indonesia in 1999-2017.
