Abstract

Fracture or fracture is a condition of disconnection of bone or cartilage continuity that is generally sidelined by trauma or physical force that is determined by the type and extent of trauma. Pain is the most common complaint in patients with fractures. One of the interventions that can be done to reduce pain by giving aromatherapy lavender and classical music therapy. The method used in this research is quantitative with Quasi experimental research method with Nonequivalent Control Group design with pre-test-post-test design. The sampling technique used was simple research with 30 respondents, 15 treatment groups and 15 control groups. The analysis carried out is the data normality test using kolmogorov-smirnov, the results of which obtained data are not normally distributed, then the hypothesis carried out then using Mann Whitney with a significance level of <0.005 obtained the significance value of the post test of the treatment group and the control group is 0.001 concluded that Ho was rejected. Then the Wilcoxon rank test was conducted to analyze changes in pre-test and post-test in the two study groups. Pain results obtained from the pre-test and posttest treatment group obtained significance (p-Value) 0.001 Ho decision was rejected, while the results of the pain scale pre-test and post-test control group obtained significance (p-Value) 0.008 Ho was accepted. These results suggest that there is an influence of lavender aromatherapy administration and classical music therapy on the intensity of postoperative pain fractures.
