Abstract

Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Syariah (BPRS) is a Sharia Bank which does not provide services in payment traffic. In carrying out its activities, the BPRS uses sharia principles or muamalah. In the national banking system, BPRS is a bank established to serve Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). This MSE sector makes BPRS different from its market share with Commercial Banks/Islamic Commercial Banks. Besides being established to serve MSEs, the establishment of BPRS also has several other objectives, namely, improving the economic welfare of Muslims, especially the economically weak people, increasing per capita income, increasing employment especially in the sub-district, reducing urbanization, and fostering the spirit of Islamic Brotherhood through economic activities. BPRS here in carrying out their activities have risks that must be borne, including credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, legal risk, reputation risk, strategic risk and compliance risk. But in fact, the most common risk experienced by BPRS is credit risk or financing risk. Credit risk or financing risk is the risk arising from the debtor failing to fulfill his obligations. The problem of credit risk can be called bad credit. The ongoing bad credit will cause losses that will endanger the condition and financial stability of the BPRS. The worst consequence of the many financing problems is one of which is bad credit, namely the liquidity of BPRS. So if the SRB is liquidated, how is the customer's money still stored there? Do the Directors have personal responsibility for these losses? Based on that, researchers are interested in conducting research related to the accountability of customers' funds if the SRB is liquidated because of financing problems, namely bad credit, and how the effort to settle the bad credit is given that the customer needs to know so that the customer has more trust in the BPRS.
