Abstract

The study aims to findout and analyze how much the influence of economic growth, Regional Original Income (ROI), Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), on unemployment in indonesia in 2011-2016. The analytical tool used is panel data regression. The data panel is combination of cross-sites covering thirty four provinces in Indonesia and time series for six years. The results of the research after the chow test and hausman test showed that Fixed Effect Model (FEM) was the best panel data regression model. Based on the results of the analysis it was found that Regional Original Income (ROI) did not have a significant effect on unemployment in Indonesia. Gross Regional Domestict Product (GRDP) has a significant influence on unemployment in Indonesia. For that the government should improve the quality of Human Resources (HR) trough education and training so as to create a quality workforce, expand employment and employment opportunities in the country so as to reduce unemployment in Indonesia.
