Abstract
Rajawali City Forest is a city forest in Batang Regency which is located on Jl. Dr. Sutomo, Kauman, Batang District, Batang Regency which also borders the Jakarta-Semarang pantura line. The Rajawali City forest is filled with hard plants such as teak trees and 50 other types of perennials. Rajawali Forest is used as a place to relax and exercise with a jogging track, seating, children's playground and wall climbing area. At night there will be a lamp that is shaped like an animal, adding to the beauty of the Rajawali Forest at night. New attractions are also found in the Rajawali City Forest, namely the "minggon jatinan" event which is held every Sunday morning from 06.00 until 11.00 WIB. The aim to be obtained from this planning and design is to develop the Rajawali City Forest as a public space area that can be used by people in Batang Regency and outside communities as tourist areas, play, relax and exercise with the addition of more adequate facilities. This development was carried out by taking the former temporary market land located south of the Rajawali City Forest which is currently not used. The method used includes data collection in the form of observations, literature studies, comparative studies, as well as physical and non-physical data of the design area. Processing data and discussion in the form of analysis of the data obtained. Then the formulation of the concept is based on the analysis that has been obtained. From the method, the results are in the form of planning and designing a public space that can accommodate community activities in Batang and surrounding areas with the addition of several facilities such as outbound areas, playground areas, bird cages, more toilets, mosques for places of worship, management offices as managers public space, more park benches for places to relax, better pedestrian lanes, labyrinth parks and culinary areas that can be used by the community to eat and gather with friends or family and add new vegetation to increase vegetation diversity and beautify the area of public space by emphasizing the concept of modern traditional architecture in buildings and street furniture in the public space area.
