Abstract

The level of the concern about the disaster prone-areas in Klaten, both natural and non-natural such as Volcanic Eruptions, Flood, Landslide, Tornado, Wildfire, etc, is already at peak. The people who live near the disaster prone-areas became the main object that is relatively vulnerable to the disasters due to the lack of knowledge about it and due to the lack of informations about the information system relating to natural disasters from the government, so it was said that the area immediately needed some kind of information system that can provide insights about disaster-prone areas in Klaten. This application is built using the programming language that is PHP with CodeIgniter framework, and MySQL to save the database. The data that was used were taken from the BDBP, and it was tested with survey questionnaire. The purpose of this information system is to provide informations on mapping prone areas to disasters, and to provide informations regarding evacuation routes and refugee camps. This website contains informations about disasters, during disasters, and post-disasters. this Information Systems of Distaster Prone Areas in Klaten is expected to reduce the risk of disaster, and to be a learning media about disaster risk reduction.
