Abstract

ABSTRACT Nature tourism is a tourist attraction that refers to the physical appearance of the earth that is diverse and has its own features. Genilangit Tourism Park is one of the natural attractions in the village of Genilangit, Poncol, Magetan, East Java. This tour saves the scenery and exotic air typical of Magetan City. This tour is a pine forest with an area of 13 hectares and local people use the land to become a tourist spot. Artificial nature tourism is a tour that describes the results of human culture such as museums, parks and so on. The purpose of this study is to examine the potential of Genilangit Park tourism objects and examine the strategies for developing the Genilangit Park tourism object. The research method uses field observation methods and interviews with tourism managers to find out the condition of Genilangit Park tourism objects by direct observation to determine the conditions of accessibility and potential of tourism objects, methods of data collection in the form of primary data and secondary data. Data processing techniques use scoring to provide scores or scores on research variables and classifications to find out the potential classes of Genilangit Park are high potential classes. The analysis used is a spatial approach with the theme of spatial process analysis in the form of developing the Genilangit Park tourism object which includes the location of tourism objects, the distance of tourism objects with the Regency City and the accessibility of tourism objects. The results showed that Genilangit Park tourism objects have high potential, which means that the driving factors of tourism objects are higher than the inhibiting factors. The driving factors are strong attractions such as beautiful natural scenery, cool and original nature of the research results. It can be concluded that the Genilangit Park needs to be further developed so that it is more advanced for further development, while the inhibiting factors are limited facilities and other infrastructure and facilities. The development strategy is the SO (strength and opportunity) strategy, which is the development of the potential of each strength object to take advantage of opportunities, by managing the potential of maximally owned objects and providing comfort for tourists, utilizing facilities and infrastructure as well as accessibility. can attract visitors.
