Abstract
Learning media plays an important role in determining success in the learning process, with a variety of learning media. This study aims to determine the development process and effectiveness of flood learning animation media. In this study using the Dick & Carey development model. The technique of collecting data in research is by giving questions Pre-test and Post-test as well as questionnaires for evaluating the development of animated video media. Then the researchers developed a 15-question pre-test and post-test assessment instrument from 40 questions obtained through validity and reliability testing, animation product development made using Adobe After Effect software, validating the final product with the category "Very Good" which had previously gone through the process revision and improvement of products and products can be used research. The use of effective animation media was applied in flood material for class VII of Weru 1 Public Middle School. There are differences in learning outcomes or increased learning outcomes between the control class and the experimental class. Control classes that were not given special treatment (conventional learning) only experienced an average increase of 54% while the experimental class given special treatment using animation video learning media experienced an average increase of 66%.
