Abstract

Surakarta City is one of the cities of culture and tourism that began to be populated by residents. With a strategic position, the city in the past few years has often experienced on major roads because many people use their personal vehicles when working or traveling somewhere. This is because the growth of roads tends to stagnate and the growth of private vehicle use continues to increase, and public transportation is still small. Therefore, to reduce congestion due to the use of private vehicles, mass transportation is needed which can carry many people on a trip that is free of traffic, timely, efficient, and integrated with other transportation, such as Light Rail Transit (LRT) that can connecting one point to another and integrated with other transportation. With the LRT train, Purwosari Station will be developed into an interchange station that can connect important points in the city of Surakarta to accommodate citizens and surrounding areas in their daily activities.
