Abstract
Ability to assemble diverse motives and legacy modernization, ideology, economic and morals in a display of national identity (Aronczyk: 2008). Genilangit’s society have local wisdom that is as woven bamboo craftsman who still developed up to now. Especialy development of the tourist destinations of this large Wicker craftsman involved in the creation of facilities such as a playground for a replica of a boat, a tree house, viewing, gate in, the bamboo restaurant made the allure of tourist destinations as a photo spot. Local wisdom woven bamboo Genilangit’s society hereditary until now, research methods qualitative descriptive method was used. Engineering data collection with interviews in-depth research resource at Genilangit village society. The technique of determination of purposive sampling technique with the informant. The method of analysis data in this study using interactive analysis of the reduction of the data, the presentation of the data and the withdrawal of the conclusion or verification. Results of the study known to society empowerment in supporting the development of Genilangit village as a Bedengan tourist village done to be able to develop stronger potential and empower the society in order to develop their potential. Society empowerment which is done in the village Genilangit into a Bedengan tourist village has been going according to with the empowerment indicators such as awareness, organizing and delivering.
