Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the type of diction in the language of the Central Java SATLANTAS appeal banner and (2) the meaning of the use of diction in the language of the SATLANTAS appeal banner in Central Java. This research was conducted with descriptive qualitative. The object of this research is the diction and the command sentence in SATLANTAS himbauan language in middle. This research data is in the form of words and phrases which contain diction. The data source in this study is in the form of photos and written data taken from the writing on the campaign banner. The technique used for data collection in research is by using notes and techniques. The data validation technique used in the study was data triangulation. The data analysis technique used is the method of reading markers. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion it can be concluded that there are 5 types of diction usage, namely (1) there is the use of common words (2) the use of special words (3) there are uses of denotative diction (4) there are uses of connotative diction (5) there is foreign language usage.
