Abstract

Radicalism is one of the things that develops in society, one of which is marked by the existence of acts of terrorism. Since 2001, there have been around 85 people suspected of terrorism in the country. The wife of a radical actor also became a victim because of the arrest process and the case that befell her husband made his wife struggle to continue his life. This study aims to understand the reason for the toughness of the wives of radical actors in living life in terms of religiosity. The research method used is a qualitative research method with the type of descriptive phenomenology approach and data collection using interview techniques. Informants in this study were selected by purposive sampling, totaling 3 people who were the wives of radical perpetrators, had children and worked to fulfill their daily lives. The results of the study found that the wife's resilience began when they took over family responsibilities, continued to carry out their roles as mothers and they had to become more independent individuals. Wives are also able to survive in difficult situations with the experience, enthusiasm and patience they have. The wives also bring up the side of religiosity which is when they get a problem they are patient, keep trying and trust God. They also maintain closeness to God through worship, dhikr and doing good things they can do. Wives complain only to God. They also prayed and prayed for a way out. In this study, it was found that the support of the living environment and experience also influenced someone to be tough. Besides that, it was also found in every dimension of informant resilience also involving religiosity, such as when a wife gets a problem and performs her role, it also involves the values of religiosity.
