Abstract
This study aims to describe the lingual unit function that contain adverb modality markers in the text of the translation of the Qur’an (TTA), the role describe of lingual unit that contain adverb markers in the text of the translation of the Qur’an (TTA), and its implementation in syntax. The subject of the research is an adverb that signifies modality in the text of the translation of the Qur’an (TTA). The object of this study is the adverb modifier function marker modality in the text of the translation if the Qur’an (TTA). The source of this research data is document. Data collection techniques in the study are methods of reading, document and technique note. Data analysis using the method agih with basic techniques and advanced techniques: slime techniques, insert techniques, and reverse techniques. The results of this study indicate that the function filled by lingual units containing adverbial modality markers is the P function 85 times with the pattern of clauses SP, PS, SPO, SPK, SPPel, PK, SPOK, PPel, and SPPel with a marker of modality indeed, do not, will, let, truly, surely. The filler of the S function is found 20 times with the SP, SPO, SPPel, and SPK clauses with the actual modality markers, indeed, surely, do not, let it be, of course, really. The filler O function, Pel function and K function are found 1 time with the SPPel and KSP clause patterns with markers of actual modality, actually and should. The filler of the O function and the K function are found 1 time with the SPPel and KSP clause pattern with a marker of certainty and invitation modality. Roles that are filled by lingual units that contain adverbial modality markers are the role of explaining, role of action, and role explained. The result of this study can be implemented as teaching materials for Syntactic subjects in the learning outcomes of sorting and analyzing words based on the function of the subject, predicate, object, complement, and explanation.
