Abstract

This research is based on the background of the need to increase knowledge about the earthquake disaster considering that Boyolali District is an area that is prone to earthquake disasters. This study aims to (1) find out the development of after-effects based video animation learning media on earthquake disasters in class VII students at MTs N Tinawas Middle School Nogosari Boyolali (2) to know the differences in student learning outcomes before using video media and after using video media. This type of research is Research and Development (Rn D), with the Sugiyono model. The subjects of this study were grade VII students of MTs N Tinawas Boyolali, social studies teachers of class VII. Animated video media have gone through the validation stage by media experts and material experts, averaging 4.3 with the category "GOOD". The results showed that (1) the development of video learning media using the Talking Stick learning strategy went well and conducively, (2) there were differences in student learning outcomes in the control class and experimental class in earthquake disaster material with the following results: experimental groups were treated ( video media) there are differences, namely the pretest gets a value of 57 and the posttest gets a value of 80 which shows a significant 000 <0.05. While the untreated control class with the results of the prestest value 58 and posttest got a value of 61, it can be concluded that there was an increase in knowledge about the earthquake after receiving the treatment of the use of video learning media.
