Abstract

The view of the people who practice that individuals who have abnormalities cannot do what others can do without disability in their bodies. Persons with physical disabilities are also considered a disgrace, helpless, only living in a difficult home gives equal rights and opportunities. The purpose of this study is to understand and describe self compassion for disabled people. The research method used is qualitative phenomenology whose data collects through interviews with 4 main informants and 4 supporting informants. Determination of informants using purposive sampling technique. The main informants were disabled people consisting of 2 female informants and 2 male informants, 14-17 years, while supporting informants were one of the people close to disabled people. The results of this study show compassion for the physically disabled who have been able to accept the situation, satisfaction with self satisfaction, being able to respond to deficiencies, and grateful for whatever has happened to the disabled. In addition, tuna with daksa are also able to interpret the difficulties given positive things in it, while increasing the ability to succeed in making what is desired.
