Abstract
This study aims to describe the development of Batu Seribu tourism object to improve the economic welfare of the community of Gentan Village, Bulu District, Sukoharjo Regency, along with the background of its development and its impact. This type of research is qualitative with the method of collecting data on interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data is by source and technique triangulation. Data analysis uses an interactive model. This research shows that the development of Batu Seribu tourism object is carried out to strengthen the attractiveness and improvement of facilities. The development of tourist attraction is driven by something to see, something to do, and something to buy owned. However, some of its potential is damaged, its availability is still minimal, and even some are not yet utilized. The background for the development of Batu Seribu tourist facilities due to various potential conditions related to basic facilities, supplementary facilities, and supporting facilities that have been damaged, is still minimal and inadequate. Therefore, the development of Batu Seribu tourism object is based on this background. The development of attractiveness of something to see is done by preserving the natural hills of teak, maintaining Sendhang Truno Lele, utilizing spring water for swimming pools, plans for repairing showrooms, and making zoos. The development of the attraction of something to do is done by improving recreational facilities that have been damaged so that tourists can exercise, such as enjoying the surrounding natural scenery from the viewing post, camping on the campground, playing and outbound in the playground, swimming with water directly in the Pacinan pennant, enjoying joglo, and awareness at Sendhang Truno Lel. The development of the attraction of something to buy is done by adding new facilities to support buying and selling activities, such as souvenir shops, providing facilities for culinary, and utilizing the potential of agate. While the development of basic facilities is carried out by providing tourist attractions and tourist attractions. The development of complementary facilities is carried out by providing and improving recreational facilities to support visitors' comfort, including swimming pools, playgrounds, campgrounds, viewing stations, and joglo. The development of supporting facilities is carried out by providing and improving service facilities for tourists, including transportation, accommodation, catering, shopping, worship, parking and MCK facilities. The development had a positive impact on improving the economic well-being of the local community in the form of providing employment in the main sectors as parking attendants, ticket booth guards, janitors, security and order officers and in the supporting sector as businesses in the culinary, transportation and souvenir fields. In addition, it also has an impact on increasing the income of people working in the tourism sector.
