Abstract

The purpose of research to determine the sequence of production process by making a scheduling until the production process time minimum and good scheduling planning producers can implement into other furniture production plans to minimizing makespan. Several methods can be use to minimize makespan is active and non-delay algorithms. Active algorithm is scheduling uses SPT rules, priority is given to jobs with the shortest processing time and then followed by larger jobs. Whereas the non delay algorithm is scheduling that allows one or more operations at the same time. Using Win QS software is to compare scheduling time with active and non-delay schedule algorithms. The stages research is observation and interview the UKM owners, data, data processing, and comparing the results of makespan scheduling. From the scheduling method conducted by UKM Aziz Mebel 33427 seconds with idle time 878 seconds and mean flow time 6866.41 seconds, while the scheduling with active schedule method produces makespan 32530 seconds with idle time 845 seconds and mean flow time 4644.66 seconds,method non delay makes makespan 32879 seconds with idle time 1407 seconds and mean flow time 6433 seconds while the method random generation and pick the best produces makespan 33420 seconds with idle time 1422 and mean flow time 6841 seconds. with these results it is known that the selected alternative scheduling is by scheduling an active schedule method which can save a total working time of 2.68%, which is 897 seconds or 14 minute and 57 second.
