Abstract

Introduction: Nowadays the awareness of the importance of collaboration between professions is increasingly intensified. This is evidenced by the introduction of Interprofessional Education (IPE) into curriculum standards and accreditation requirement. The role of Facilitators/ Lecturers has importantly taking a part in the development and successful IPE procurement. Objectives: To explore lecturer’s experience as IPE facilitator, while also identify and classify lecturers’ perception based on the aim and function of IPE. Type of Research: Qualitative type with Phenomenology approach and In-depth interview as instrument. Sampling Techniques: Total amount of population are 27 participants which are lecturers from Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing who became facilitator in IPE Blok Nephrology. Sampling is the Non-Probability Sampling method with purposive technique. The result obtained total 6 participants in which there were 2 representatives from each profession. Data Analysis: Used Thematic Analysis(TA), is an analytical technique where the final result are in the form of themes based on coding groups. Research Results: 1)Teamwork train 2)Instill the attitude of mutual need and respect 3) Introducing role between profession 4)Provide optimal care.
